Kent, England – Sue Abbott, a beloved wife and community advocate, passed away on November 3, 2024, after a courageous seven-year battle with lymphoma and, more recently, leukemia.

Sue, who was known for her positivity and kindness, spent almost five of her last six months at Brabourne Ward at Kent and Canterbury Hospital.

Her family expressed deep gratitude for the exceptional care she received, particularly from the nurses and healthcare assistants who became like family to her during her time there.

Sue’s husband, Marcus Abbott, shared the family's heartbreak, stating that despite her illness, Sue remained upbeat and generous, always thinking of others.

In lieu of floral tributes, Sue had requested that donations be made to support the work of the hospital that cared for her so selflessly.

Her legacy of strength, positivity, and care for others will continue to inspire those who knew her.

Friends and family have been quick to express their condolences on social media, with one comment noting, “Sue was such an inspiration to us all. Rest in peace.”
